Victim

a Poem by Raquel Swann

You play the victim and

you play it well.

For so long have you believed

the world is out to get you.

Good fortune escapes you

happiness, like sand, slips

through your fingers.

You see stormy weather

on sunny days.

Your dying dreams were

stabbed, not by thier hand,

but yours.
