a Poem by Raquel Swann

A virus without a cure

a spreading darkness

within thick clouds

a tree wilting from

the inside

a poor soul stuck

in a dead end job

an locked cage without

a key

a mansion riddled

with termites

a mirror without

a reflection

a day at an amusement park

but all the rides are closed

me and you trying to

relive lost days

behind us.
